NHS Fellowship in Clinical AI

The NHS Fellowship in Clinical AI is a 12-month programme integrated part-time alongside clinical work to realise the benefit of AI in healthcare. Fellows are recruited from a diverse clinical workforce, and gain experience deploying and evaluating AI in clinical workflows under expert supervision in multidisciplinary NHS teams.

Applications for the Clinical AI Fellowship are open from 5 October 2026 to 16 November 2026, for an August 2027 start.

Two NHS funded posts are available and based at Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH).

There is also a brand new sponsor route, open to health and social care staff providing NHS services. Sponsorship can be provided by any organisation.
